These words came rather spontaneously to my mind when I typed them, and I was quite surprised to see how they all flowed together to create the finished poem. My hope is that they will stir up passionate desire in all who read them, along with a sense of deep gratitude. Enjoy!

"Make Me Question"

My hunger is insatiable

But you have promised to fill it

My thirst is unquenchable

But you offer living waters

My longing is unbearable

But you give me blessed joy

I am satisfied in you

And I must have more!

My search never ends

Though I swim in discovery

My lovesickness can't be healed

But you have freed me from all pain

My heart feels so empty

While you reside inside

Come and fill me up

And make me discontent

Your love is all I long for

Whet my appetite again

Touch me my beloved

And let me taste your holy kiss

Renew desire within me

And give me what I need

Give me fresh devotion

And leave me seeking thee

You are my bittersweet addiction

In you is liberty

Increase your paradoxical light

And show me glory

Take all I have

And give me everything

Be my great fulfillment

Be my inner plea

You alone are my answer

You alone can make me wonder

So come and give me revelation

Come, make me question.
