This past June I was contemplating the growing movement of youth who, all across America, are devoting themselves to prayer and worship in a dramatic way. I thought of ministries such as Lou Engle's TheCall, the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Karen Wheaton's The Ramp, and Jesus Culture in Redding, California. It seems to me that something like the Jesus People Movement of the 1970's is overtaking this generation. On June 20th the Lord gave me a prophetic message about it, which could be applicable to much of the Body of Christ worldwide. This is what I believe He was saying:

     “Look to the youth! Look to the young people! Revival is in them, and they are already carrying it. Do you perceive it? There is a movement sweeping across this land, a movement that is already maturing into something historical. For your sons and daughters are even now catching the fire. They are not just the church of tomorrow. They are rising today!

     “I am placing mantles on those who society says are unprepared. My own must not say the same. I tell you, if you do not accept the culture of these adolescents then you will not receive their blessing. If you do not recognize their part in leadership properly you will not be able to advance in your leadership.

     “Teach the generations below you, but expect them to learn fast. They need the meat of My Word. Their potential will remain untapped if you distinguish too much between what you give them and what you give older adults, who are often at the same level of understanding. And free your children to step up in ministry, to fight spiritual warfare as mighty men of valor, for without them your ranks will be broken. You will not secure this land for My Kingdom if you leave any behind, and I speak even of those who have barely learned to talk.

     “I have told you in the Scriptures that they would prophesy, and I commanded them to 'set the example,' but have you truly expected it? Do so, for this is what My Spirit is speaking in this hour. This is the wave I am releasing, and you must catch it if you want to ride into the fulfillment of My promises.”
