An Exciting
Victory Report
In the last week of February the America Center for Law and Justice (a conservative/Christian organization) won a Supreme
Court case concerning the debate on Ten Commandment displays in public parks. All nine of the Supreme Court judges voted to
let local government bodies chose which monuments they will or will not let be put up on city-owned property. In other words,
a city may decide to keep Ten Commandment monuments in order to represent their region's historical values. They do not have
to remove the monuments because people of another religion view it as unfair.
This court decision may clear up much controversy over how much free speech people have in government positions when it comes
to expressing their faith. Also, it protects government officials from having to put up monuments that may be racist, that
encourage terrorism, or that have no real purpose at all.
